Family Tree Extraction API

BrightQuery's Family Tree API offers a comprehensive corporate family tree structure for any organization, detailing linkages between the ultimate parent and its subsidiaries (children), mapped at the legal entity level.This API also gives details on legal entity status, compliance checks, and details on establishments associated with the Legal Entity. BrightQuery tracks approximately 114M Legal Entities each identified by a unique Legal Entity ID.

API Description

This API provides a comprehensive Family Tree/Legal entity level identification and status information, such as legal status, active status, legal address, corporate parent and children details. The API retrieves Family Tree and Compliance information, including:

• Detailed executive information, including:
  • Legal Entity Name and EIN
  • Legal Entity Current Status
  • Legal Entity Ultimate Parent status
  • Count of number of children associated with the Legal Entity
  • Count of establishments associated with the Legal Entity
  • Legal Entity Address
• Associated company information, such as:
  • Company name
  • Ticker symbol
  • Company website URL

Input Parameters

• BQ ID: Unique identifier assigned by BrightQuery.

The API returns 100 records per search. To retrieve legal entities data, use the unique BrightQuery (BQ) ID. All responses are provided in JSON format.

Update Frequency

The BrightQuery Family Tree Universe is updated monthly.

Caching of API Data

You must not pre-fetch, cache, or store the Family Tree Extraction API content beyond 7 days, although the `BQ_ID` is exempt from caching restrictions.
